Bobby is the Maremma shepherd of our neighbor, a huge beast, hairy, very sweet with us (and cats), but good guardian (can be terrifying and it is a while that the thieves are no longer visiting us). As much we love dogs, we have given our permission to the owners to let him come to us in the evening, and so even though we haven't a dog of our own we can play with he and he can also watch over our garden (before, the thieves stole pumpkins , garlics and tomatoes). Yet, although it is very sweet, Lily and Vitali are terrified of him, perhaps because he's huge, but certainly not because it is a dog, because they were born in a house with two hunting dogs ... Bah.

Bobby è il pastore maremmano dei nostri vicini di campagna, un bestione
enorme e peloso, assolutamente dolcissimo con noi (e con i gatti), ma
ottimo guardiano (può diventare terrificante ed è da un pò che i ladri
non vengono più a farci visita). Poichè amiamo molto i cani, abbiamo
dato il nostro permesso ai padroni di lasciarlo entrare da noi la sera, e
così anche se non abbiamo un cane tutto nostro possiamo giocare con lui
e può fare anche la guardia al nostro orto (prima ci fregavano le
zucche, gli agli e i pomodori). Eppure, anche se è dolcissimo, Lily e
Vitali sono terrorizzati da lui, forse perchè enorme, ma di certo non
perchè è un cane, visto che sono nati in una casa con due cani da
caccia... Bah.
